What is the Calibration Certificate?

The Calibration Certificate tool lets you document a complete calibration event and generate a professional PDF certificate. It captures gauge identification, reference standards, as-found and as-left measurements, environmental conditions, and computes the overall pass/fail result.

1Select the Gauge

Enter the gauge identification details: ID, name, type, manufacturer, model, serial number, and location. Set the calibration frequency and the date the calibration was performed.

2Enter Reference Standard(s)

Document the reference standard(s) used for the calibration. Include the standard ID, certificate number, next calibration due date, and traceability information (e.g., NIST). You can add multiple standards.

3Record Measurements

Enter as-found and as-left readings for each measurement point. Specify the nominal value and tolerance for each point. The tool automatically computes errors and pass/fail status in real time.

4Environmental Conditions

Record the ambient temperature and humidity during calibration. Enter the technician name and any additional notes. Standard conditions are 20 C and 45-55% humidity.

5Review & Generate

Review all information, see the overall result (Pass, Pass with Adjustment, or Fail), and download the PDF certificate. You can also save the certificate for future reference.

Understanding Results

PASS All measurement points are within tolerance. The gauge is calibrated and ready for use.
PASS WITH ADJUSTMENT Some as-found readings were out of tolerance, but all as-left readings pass after adjustment. The gauge has been corrected and is now within spec.
FAIL One or more as-left readings exceed tolerance even after adjustment. The gauge should be repaired, replaced, or taken out of service.
Tip:
Keep your reference standards within their calibration interval. If a standard is overdue, the certificate may not be accepted during an audit.
