Getting Started with GaugeConnection
Table of Contents
1Create a Gauge List
Start by creating a gauge list. No account required -- you can sign in later to save your progress.
- List Name -- A descriptive name like "Shop Floor Gauges" or "QC Lab Instruments".
- Company Name -- Optional. Helps organize lists if you manage gauges for multiple companies.
- Reminder Email -- Optional. Will be used for calibration reminders in a future update.
2Add Your Gauges
Add each gauge with its calibration details. The system automatically calculates the next calibration date.
- Gauge Name -- E.g., "Micrometer 0-1 in", "Digital Caliper 150mm".
- Type -- Select from common types or type your own.
- Calibration Frequency -- How often the gauge needs calibration (Monthly, Quarterly, Annual, etc.).
- Last Calibration Date -- When the gauge was last calibrated. The next date is calculated automatically.
3Monitor Calibration Status
Your dashboard shows each gauge with a color-coded status: Green (in calibration), Yellow (due within 30 days), Red (overdue), or Gray (inactive). Overdue gauges appear first.
