Getting Started with GaugeConnection

Table of Contents

1Create a Gauge List

Start by creating a gauge list. No account required -- you can sign in later to save your progress.

  • List Name -- A descriptive name like "Shop Floor Gauges" or "QC Lab Instruments".
  • Company Name -- Optional. Helps organize lists if you manage gauges for multiple companies.
  • Reminder Email -- Optional. Will be used for calibration reminders in a future update.

2Add Your Gauges

Add each gauge with its calibration details. The system automatically calculates the next calibration date.

  • Gauge Name -- E.g., "Micrometer 0-1 in", "Digital Caliper 150mm".
  • Type -- Select from common types or type your own.
  • Calibration Frequency -- How often the gauge needs calibration (Monthly, Quarterly, Annual, etc.).
  • Last Calibration Date -- When the gauge was last calibrated. The next date is calculated automatically.

3Monitor Calibration Status

Your dashboard shows each gauge with a color-coded status: Green (in calibration), Yellow (due within 30 days), Red (overdue), or Gray (inactive). Overdue gauges appear first.

4Share and Collaborate

Copy the share link to send to team members, or invite them by email directly from the share panel. Everyone with the link can view and edit the gauge list.
